What are Hunter x Hunter gashapon?
Hunter x Hunter gashapon are capsule figures Bandai sells under its Gashapon brand. Bandai's Japanese site lists three lines: Gashapon! Collection at ¥400, HG at ¥500 and Real Suwarasetai at ¥800. Pick by what you want on the shelf: Nen ability pieces, the main four heroes, or realistic character figures.
Bandai's US site writes the name as "Gashapon", which is why official listings use that spelling while collectors and search engines often write "gachapon". If you need a refresher on how the machines work, start with what gashapon is.
There is no single Hunter x Hunter series of capsules. Each line has its own format and its own cast, and new volumes keep arriving, so a figure you want may sit in a line you have not looked at yet.
The Hunter x Hunter gashapon lines
Bandai's Japanese Gashapon site lists these three Hunter x Hunter products, with prices tax included. Prices and designs belong to the volume named and can differ in later volumes. Bandai marks all three as suitable for ages 15 and up.

How the lines differ
Gashapon! Collection is the cheapest at ¥400. The Chimera Ant Arc set is about abilities rather than faces: Bandai describes figures of the Nen abilities of the characters in that arc, across five designs. It suits you if you prefer the powers over the character portraits.
HG is the one for the core cast. Volume 1 has Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio, and Bandai calls it the first appearance of Hunter x Hunter in the HG series. It is also the newest release: the listing gives staggered advance sales from 9 October 2026 at selected Gashapon Bandai official shops and Gashapon Official Shop @ASAKUSA, with nationwide sales planned after the event.
Real Suwarasetai (Suwarase Tai Real in Japanese) is the premium end, at ¥800 for a set of two. Bandai pitches the third Hunter x Hunter volume as realistic figures of Meruem and Pitou from its popular Suwarase Tai series. Bandai's pages for these lines list no size or material, so judge them by price and format rather than by scale.
Since Real Suwarasetai 3 holds only two designs, you are chasing a pair, not a set to complete over many pulls. The HG and Collection lines ask for more pulls to finish.
How to buy Hunter x Hunter gashapon outside Japan
Bandai's US Gashapon site has a Real Suwarasetai page and a location directory for finding places with machines. Its product pages carry the notice that an item may be sold out because of the time difference with Japan, so a set you see online may not be in a nearby machine yet.

Use the yen prices above as an anchor. If a seller asks far more than the capsule price for a set that is only weeks old, ask whether you are paying for rarity or only for the wait. Blind packs sold at retail are a different product from capsules, so check the exact line name on the listing before you buy.
How to avoid fake Hunter x Hunter gashapon
Bandai's product pages show the full lineup for each volume. Compare a listing against it: the characters in the set, how many designs there are and the volume name should match. HG Vol.1 has four designs and Real Suwarasetai 3 has two, so a listing that claims a different count is a red flag.
